Anyway, I had to go to MediaMarkt to see if there were decently priced GPS’ for my dad because on the 16th is his birthday and turns 53 (which actually makes me I hope I look as good as he does at his age >_>) so I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to give a look at the PC sections (I already knew I’d get out of there with a PC, I was just lying myself).

Found an “OK” PC with some flaws, I’d knew later about that, and bought it in the end for 399€ (which in my opinion is pretty cheap compared to the end result).
Some of the flaws the PC had (and that Shina helped me solve -Thanks a bunch!!!-) were:

• Vista 32bit HomeBasic (I had no idea it was so shitty but from Shina’s words: “It’s the Vista version that Windows designed for PCs that shouldn’t run Vista)… I was like “uh oh”. Downloading Ultimate Vista 64bit see if this one actually allows me to play Windower being able to Alt+Tab.
• Integrated nVidia GeForce 7050. Fail, utterly fail with FFXI graphics. Already installed a new graphics card, a GeForce 9800 GT which is just made of win and I can’t stop fapping over it. 148€ though. >:
• To be able to actually run the new card I had to get a PSU (well, bought in advance, once again thanks to Shina’s surveillance!) because the one that came with the PC was only 230W (so got a 500W).

Anyway, just need to setup new Vista once it’s done downloading (hope to have some guidance there!) and I’ll be completely happy~

Will update about FFXI soon, but I’ve just been coming to main events lately due to being busy with school/PC, as well as having tummy aches. :c

PD: Gfx card came with Assassin’s creed (full version), it’s fun but weird to control with only Keyboard/Mouse combo and I really refuse to buy a controller. <_<

Lately I’ve been working on my WHMs gear, SCH sj (18…) and merits (fiiiiinally capped Shellra V), so I thought it would be a good idea to write it all down, as a self-memorandum. I will go slot by slot considering alternatives and improvements so here we go.

• Main slot: I really don’t think I need anything outside Seveneyes. Granted I do have a Fourth Division Mace, that +3 ConserveMP difference would help a little bit, but I’m not gonna really die for it.
• Sub slot: Hmmm can’t think of anything other than Legion Scutum and Muse Tariqah for when I cast buffs and Cure V respectively.. but since we don’t do ZNM anymore I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
• Ammo slot: Either Hedgehog bomb or White tathlum, whichever comes first. Was hoping to get to do Brothers ENM regularly in hopes for a bomb drop, but lately we’ve gotten a bit lazy about it, so I might just save money for it.
• Head slot: For resting, Goliard chapeau or Oracle’s cap, both will take some time to get though.
• Neck slot: Other than Grandiose chain for resting and Devotion macro, I can’t think of anything else.
• Ears slots: I guess Novia earring someday, but I’m pretty much done unless I was rich and found myself buying 2x Comunions. Recently did ApocalypseNigh, so Magnetic earring it is.
• Body slot: Not mentioning I wish I had an Aristocrat’s again, but the two really body pieces I’m starving for are Cleric’s briault and Goliard saio. Last Saturday I was at the cinema and missed 2 briaults drop, yesterday none did. I love my luck. Saio is going to take some time too, since our Nyzul static is basically dead.
• Hands slot: Only for resting and Devotion (since RSE60 are way too expensive) Oracle’s gloves which would be really good for Blm too.
• Fingers slots: Pretty done in this department too, just would need an Aqua ring for Cure V, but I don’t see myself priorising that in quite some time. For Devotion, BombQueen ring and Bloodbead ring but that’s really it.
• Back slot: Definetely Errant Cape or Ixion cloak. Errant has been on top of my fund-priorities but ever since coming back I’m having a hard time making gil (KS30 where D:) also since I recently snagged an Aslan cape I don’t see the point on dumping gil into Ixion cape. Also Invigorating cape for resting wouldn’t hurt either.
• Waist slot: Last Dynamis - Qufim I got Cleric’s belt (thanks SpikeFlail! :D) so this department is done.
• Legs slot: Cleric’s pantaloooooons. Seriously, I don’t think I need anything else other than these and Yigit Seraweels for Devotion (already have Oracle’s braconi for resting). Pantaloons, topped with my capped Barspells/Shellra V merits would kick ass.
• Feet slot: I’d love to have Herald’s gaiters but that seems so far bearing in mind I just joined SpikeFlail like months ago (4? Would have to check D:) and we don’t get Tiamat that often. Other than that, no feet piece comes to my mind that would help my Whm more.

Of course the gear mentioned above is foccused only into endgame/group-activities so some people might disagree or whatever. Below a small summary of what I have/use on Whm.

Main cures gear - Switch Rostrum pumps instead of Cure clogs at midcast.

But the real winner, or at least for me, was Nep! After 12 attempts and Odin not putting through he got it eventually! I told you it *had to* drop, silly!

Other than that, we’ve done like 3 Sandworms, prior  the maintenance. The fight with Sandworm is pretty boring itself and has no complications other than gather people and scanning (ugh). No Lambton inside though, so we just got a Guivre (Black tathlum and a Zahak’s mail) and two Serket (2 Antares harness and of course no White tathlum).

On our Sunday event we were supposed to do 10 Bahamuts (WAT10BAHAS!?!11) but since Sandworm popped after the 2nd, we’ll be finishing them tomorrow and hopefully we get many Bahamut’s staves and masks. In the meantime, I’ll keep lotting stuff to level up!

Last but not least, I’m giving up on Salvage. Since I’d be bound to lot Marduk stuff only, and I only want the Shalwar from that set (I’d like Jubbah… but Dalm has been my dream item since forever) I’ll just finish this and foccus on Nyzul/getting some Yigit pieces (Body, Hands and Feet).

Of course, coming to Salvage has some good points (yes, naked galka ahead). It feels so good. >:

My grandfather (the father of my mother -whom I’m very attached to-) is at the hospital. He’s been there for roughly 9 days now, and doctors have started telling us that he may not make it past this week. Whether it happens or not, I have in my mind that he won’t stay here with us for long. It’s hard to actually express these words verbally, but writing them here helps a little bit.

It feels a bit awkward, now that I’m “grown up”, to loose a member of my family. Last time that happened was when I was barely a teenager, and I remember it hurt alot and I really don’t want to go over all that again, but I guess this comes with the adult pack. It’s very easy to just keep yourself on your own world, and just cover your eyes and ears when stuff that you don’t want happens, but it’s not mature.

Anyway, just want to drop a word to those people who are coping with me as of lately, keeping up with my moody attitude: Nep, Jowah, Andher and Cookies. Thanks, I really appreciate it! Of course also thanks to people who even not knowing exactly what’s happening, they’re comprehensive, but the list would be way too long to fit in here.

Apparently I’ve been slacking much more than I even imagined so this will be a pretty straight-forward picture post, because in all honesty I don’t feel like typing much with this nasty cold.

We’ve been doing lot of farming in the past areas, not so for Ixion or Sandworm (odl content now!) but more for the stronghold NMs. They’re easy to do, and pretty quick if you know what to do or where to look for them.

Rewards on them are kind of meh in my opinion but some get their share of fun~

I must admit I’ve been pretty lucky lately with Dynamis. Karma finally stopped being a bitch to me, and rewarded me with what I deserve~ Cleric’s mitts and duckbills *get*! Of course, none of these pieces were the ones I wanted the most (body and legs are much more appealing) but it’s a start, and these have some good uses too.

Long before AV we did another Odin, and just to drive a cute galka insane, here are the drops.

Good thing is I can give him some relaxing backrubs when he comes back victorious with an Enlil’s Gambison under his belt… or wording this better, over his chest! Grats!! ‘-’

And this pretty much sums it all for now. I’ll try not to procrastinate as much next time.

Things I like:

• Dynamis increased drops
• LevelSync. So looking for that for my Sch!
• Changes regarding exp of DC-EP mobs
• Sch merits, in the event I ever get that to 75, though not sure which merit combo I’d pick
• Uncapped gear for capped stuff! Yay this means I can help on Jowy’s new CoP set ;x

Been able to try LevelSync, with my Rdm and I admit it’s pretty cool once you get used to being lower than 75 again. Also loved changes in exp specially when leveling Sch from 5 to (almost)8 in very little time and effort. Hopefully this evening after Einherjar I can finally try uncapped gear in Promys. We’ll be doing Promyvion climbs for people who, like me need, silvers before facing Apocalypse Nigh BC.

Haven’t had chance to look at new items, since I’ve been busy regearing Whm. I finally love playing it again and thanks to Andher splitting with me Serket ring money from a Nyzul Isle (Grats on him on Goliard Saio! /jealous), I’ve been able to buy Cure clogs, Staff strap and Raven beret. Now I just need some luck to complete my wish-realistic set for Whm (ok, and some money too, haha). Anyway, on Friday I got lucky though, upon loging in I was asked to come Whm to Roc… and… (yes it dropped.)

It’ll work pretty well, not like I’m a big fan of +MP but along with the strap, make my MP be permanently the same for buffs and for cures (since for buffs I wear Turban+R.pumps).

Aside from Whm, had chance to join a merit PT with the LS on Rdm. It was sooo great, we did Brd 2x, Drk, Nin, Cor and myself, Rdm. We pulled 30k/hr, which got me 74. Too bad we had to stop to go to Einherjar… lol. Got a decent chain too, for the little time we were there~

And finally got the chance to kill Ixion. I’m not going to lie here, this fight was really messy, I believe it’s the 2nd time the LS fights it and horn didn’t break until it died too. At least we killed and we got pretty nice drops (no Azoth though). As much as I’ve always looked down upon the cape it looks really good (specially since I’m miles away from Aslan cape -getting choker first as second item- and Errant cape), same with the cloak. Too bad the cloak just looks exactly like Black cloak lulz.

Yay for another mob less to kill for all titles~

I’m enjoying the game everyday more, I guess quitting gave it the nice breeze I thought it’d never regain and making lots of new good friends (and got a nice couch to sit on, too :3~)!

We’ve been fairly busy fighting orange pixel dragons, and got the last two of them. Sadly, no good drops whatsoever. It’s still really nice to know we can outdo 24/7 campers, and actually kill much quicker than them, though! Also I’ve been coming to Tia as Whm lately, which I was very doubtful about, specially since I lack the -Enmity gear I was used to have, but so far haven’t had a single problem or complain, so I’m looking forward to coming more times as Whm!

Another activity I’m enjoying alot is ZNMs, as I mentioned before, specially because you don’t need a really big setup for most of them, and the rewards (specially most R/ex) are really really cool. So far I’ve been slacking a bit in getting triggers myself (I’ve just gotten to use my pops on Vulpagne and Iriz Ima), because I’ve been farming Jettons to get Soultrappers, and Zeni with the plates.

I can’t complain though, from my Iriz Ima pop, I got Avocat’s pigaches which are really good for both my Rdm and Blm, and for Whm to a lesser extent, and what is much cooler, I got one of the items I was pursuing ever since the start of ZNM: Oracle’s pigaches. They dropped from Nym’s Dea, and he was really nice to let people lot them, since he can’t use, and I won the lot, thanks to the fact that Mekaia passed! This made me a happy-hysterical panda for some minutes, lol.

We’ve also been definetely lucky in Salvage too. Got 35 Usu pants in a Zhayolm run and 2 Bodb’s cuffs, which I’ve been told are not a very common drop, at least in our group! Ofc, it’s all thanks to Rouleteau!

Anyway, we’ve been up to many stuff too (Dynamis, Einherjar, etc!) but if I really have to post it all, I won’t have time to study! :(

Last but not least, I want to thank everyone for helping me much with everyday ongoings, but specially (and since he said he wasn’t appearing in any pictures) to Andher! I couldn’t take a picture of you just yet (lol, gotta catch’em all) but thanks very much for lending me your Blm gear whenever I need it, with no conditions. Thanks alot :)

Pano finally completed his BlackBelt, which actually means his Whm will never see the light of the sun for Salvage…! Grats on Nep on another worthless abjuration! (he’s collecting all useless abj’s that drop from mobs that can drop A.body~ haha)

Speaking of Salvage, we’ve been doing a bunch of Silver Sea Remnants and Bhaflau (Bee mayhem), but I have had no chance to actually complete any of the bosses yet (Jowy’s group did complete one, while I was on vacations ;-;). I am really looking forward to it, specially for titles!

I’ve been trying to figure out these two areas, reading on mobs and such, but I still have problems. After all, I don’t believe I’ve even done more than 10 runs overall. I still find some mobs to be too tricky, specially with such special attacks like Brainjack…!

Yesterday’s Sunday event was Bahamut version 2.

Got to play Black Mage (finally in such a long time). I admit it was a nice breeze, but fighting Bahamut was a great downer, even with my merits. Of course, I could have never been able to participate if it wasn’t for Andher lending me his gear such as Aquilo’s, Ele torque, Penitent’s rope…! Thanks very much!

This is all for now, I’ve been working in a couple of adult-drawings based on some Galka~ They still need major tweakings.

On Friday we did Odin. It’s my second time after roughly nine months but it’s actually the very first I fight along with SpikeFlail. I’m still surprised as to how this thing dies and how little problems it gives. Just had a slight trouble when tanks died to Zantetsuken (I think?) and Black Mages couldn’t nuke because they were getting intimidated…. orz indeed.

Pretty decent drops (specially Odin gear! First one we get!!!) but I’m happier for the fact that it leaded to this:

Regarding ground, some day(s) prior to Odin we got to fight Khimaira, which was last window/interval and thankfully we got claim (with an army of botters around us too~). Pretty straightforward fight, though no sword or club…

To conclude, yesterday I got to fight my first successful Jailer of Love with SpikeFlail (I’m loving them every day slightly more and more! ∩( ・ω・)∩). I got to come Bard for that fight…. man what a boring fight this one is…. Balladwhoring and curing Black Mages is fun, when you don’t have to repeat it for long periods of time!

Anyway, gorgeous drops for only two pops (Both rings and 1 torque respectively). Amina got torque I guess it’s still undecided who’s getting earrings (I wish I had that Novia…!).

Regarding Salvage we’ve been doing some progress with Silver Sea Remnants, though I still haven’t had chance to fight any of the bosses on any zone (but who cares! I have Enlil’s pants~ lol) and loving this event more and more.

Another event I hope to enjoy again is Limbus since with this new update coming up in setember the price is no longer as prohibitive as it was (yeah lol30k before, but hey I have no time to farm!). Hopefully this helps in attaining Musical Earring (Falcoo offered me a lone of Ancient Beastcoins… but I don’t really want to contract a debth ; ;).

Regarding the update that will take place today setember (woops!) I can’t only say “THANKS SE” because that means I’ll finally have a chance at having some AFv2…. (we did Beaucedine, no pics, bad drops except for a SMNs doublet~!).

Can’t wait to enter Dynamis again… preferably Beau/Sandy!!
